Caimbebridge
House (Sleeps 6)
Caimbebridge House at Arisaig is a single story, semi-detatched dwelling house built in in the 1970's by a
local artist situated in its own 1/2 acre private garden
overlooking the tidal estuary of the River Caimbe. It is within
easy walking distance to the beach and the Cnoc na Faire Hotel .
The house has ample private parking, large mature garden and a
paved area with picnic table. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
The house is designed to take 4 adults and 2 children in three
bedrooms. (A Double, Twin and Bank Room)
There are two bathrooms (One with bath and one with shower) All
bedrooms furnished to a high standard in country style ,with a
farmhouse kitchen
and range
style cooker. There is a a large
living room with an open fireplace, Wood and peat fuel can be
purchased locally. There is sofa bed
available in the living room for occasional guests. Additional special features of this house are
the large sun room and a smaller sun porch on the front
aspect. The rooms all benefit from oil fired central
heating and there are no hidden extra costs for electricity or
gas.
The House has the 4 star grading with the Tourist Board -
Visitscotland.
The house also has a bed settee to add flexibility to sleeping
arrangements. |

Arisaig (pop c.500) is located on the Road to the Isles and has
the most westerly train station in Scotland. It is also a
candidate area for the the new Marine National Park and is an
area of outstanding natural beauty.
Arisaig is
an ideal
touring base for the Highlands and Islands with many activities
available locally: ski-ing, fishing, diving, climbing, walking,
bird watching, watersports, shooting, or just good old fashioned
relaxing.
There are
ferry connections from
nearby Mallaig and Arisaig to the Small Isles and Skye.
Joyce's family have been at Invercaimbe for many
generations and Ruaridh and Joyce still run a traditional croft
as Joyce's family
had in the past. They are always willing to show those who are
interested their Highland Ponies and Highland Cattle. These
Highlanders have been exported all over the world and have also
starred in several films
and TV shows. |

The corner of the sun lounge can be seen on the
right along with part of the lovely mature garden with great
shrubs and trees.

bedroom there is a double bed, with
bunkbeds. There is also a bed settee in the living room
for occasional guests . There is a bathroom
and separate shower room . The studio
is furnished to a high standard in country style, with an open
plan kitchen.
The Studio and House have the use of a separate
utility room with washer and drier as well as facilities for
hanging up wet clothes. The rooms all benefit from oil fired central heating and there are no
hidden extra costs for electricity or gas.
The House has the 3 star grading with the Tourist Board -
Visitscotland.
The studio also has a bed settee to add flexibility to sleeping
arrangements. |
